ECM is now Docket ERP

The electrical contractor software Techimpace has run in production since 2016 has a new name and a website of its own. The name changed. The product and the team in Bardhaman did not.

01 / The product

What is Docket ERP?

Docket ERP is business-management software for electrical contractors. It keeps the complete record of an electrical work under one digital docket: LOI/LOA, Work Order, purchase order, department-store material (SRN and SIRN), measurements, site expenses, RA bills, final bills and payment status. It is developed by Techimpace Innovations Private Limited in Bardhaman, West Bengal, and was formerly known as ECM.

A register works for a handful of jobs. As dockets grow, the same work ends up in five files, and three ordinary questions start to take a morning.

  • Works and orders

    Which works are still open?

Whether a work has its LOI or Work Order, and which purchase order belongs to it, should not depend on the one person who keeps the register.

  • Material and measurement

What has to go back to the store?

Material issued by the department, what was used on site and what is due for return, next to the measurement recorded for the same work.

  • Bills and money

How much is waiting in submitted bills?

Which RA bill is drafted, which final bill is pending, what has been paid, and what each job has cost so far.

Docket ERP joins those records into one job history. Open one docket instead.

02 / The workflow

Seven stages. One continuous record.

Accounting and project software starts from an invoice, a task or a customer. Government electrical work starts from a docket. Docket ERP follows the same 7 stages your office already works through, and each one stays attached to its work.

  1. Docket

    Work docket

Every sanctioned or assigned work gets one docket. Everything after it attaches here.

  2. LOI / LOA

    Letter of intent or acceptance

Dates, scope and value entered once, with the PDF kept beside them.

  3. WO / PO

    Work Order and purchase order

Order value and item lines linked to the docket, revisions included.

  4. SRN / SIRN

    Department-store material

What was issued, what was used, what is pending and what went back.

  5. Measurement

    Measurement record

Item-wise quantities against the same work, ready before billing day.

  6. RA / Final

    RA bill and final bill

Bills drafted, submitted and tracked from the record they are built on.

  7. Payment

    Payment follow-up

Amounts received and amounts pending, visible for every work.

03 / On every docket

One docket. Everything connected.

6 modules share one record for each work, so the office, the site and accounts read the same docket and nobody keeps a duplicate register.

  1. Work Order, LOI, LOA and PO

Each order document is stored against its docket with value, item lines, dates and the supporting PDF, so the office can see where a work stands without asking whoever keeps the register.

    • Work Orders
    • LOI and LOA
    • Purchase orders
    • Order value
    • Revisions
  2. SRN, SIRN and material

Department-store material is tracked per docket: received, issued, pending return and store balance, with no separate manual register.

    • Material received
    • Material issued
    • SRN records
    • SIRN records
    • Pending return
  3. Measurement

Work quantities and measurement dates are recorded per job and stay linked to the order, material and billing history.

    • Item-wise quantities
    • Measurement dates
    • Work progress
    • Billable quantities
  4. RA bills and final bills

Every bill carries a status: draft, submitted, pending or paid. The measurements and documents behind it sit on the same docket.

    • RA bills
    • Final bills
    • Submission date
    • Billed amount
    • Payment status
  5. Site expenses and job-wise ledger

Labour, transport, fuel, petty cash and site purchases are entered against the work they belong to, which gives you a ledger for each job.

    • Labour
    • Transport and fuel
    • Petty cash
    • Site purchases
  6. Pending work and payment dashboard

One screen for what needs attention today: active works, pending dockets, measurements due, bills in preparation, submitted bills, payments pending and material to return.

    • Active works
    • Pending dockets
    • Submitted bills
    • Payment pending
    • Follow-ups
04 / AI-assisted PDF intake

Received a PDF? Review it instead of retyping it.

Departments and offices send Work Orders, LOIs, purchase orders and measurement sheets as PDFs. Docket ERP reads supported documents, extracts the fields and prepares them for the right docket. A person checks every entry before it is saved.

  • Reads supported Work Order, LOI, PO and measurement PDFs
  • Prepares the fields for the correct docket and register
  • Nothing is posted until someone reviews and confirms it
  • Manual entry stays available whenever you prefer it

Registers, a generic ERP, or Docket ERP

Excel is useful. It does not know that a docket, an order, a store record, a measurement and a final bill belong to the same work.

09 / FAQ

Docket ERP questions, answered

What electrical contractors ask before they move off registers and Excel.

Is Docket ERP the same product as ECM?

Yes. ECM, Techimpace's electrical contractor management software, was renamed Docket ERP. It is the same product from the same team in Bardhaman, in production with electrical contractors since 2016. It now also has its own website at docketerp.com.

Who is Docket ERP for?

Electrical contractors and government electrical vendors, especially firms that manage several works at once using registers, Excel sheets, folders and WhatsApp. It is built in Bardhaman, West Bengal, around the workflow familiar to contractors in the state.

Is Docket ERP a WBSEDCL application?

No. Docket ERP is an independent contractor-management ERP developed by Techimpace. It is not owned, operated or endorsed by WBSEDCL, and it is not affiliated with it. Contractors working on WBSEDCL works can use it as their own internal software to organise work records, measurements, materials, expenses and bills.

Can Docket ERP replace our Excel sheets and registers?

For most work-management tasks, yes. Instead of separate sheets for dockets, orders, materials, expenses, measurements and bill status, Docket ERP keeps those records connected under each work. You can still use Excel for outside calculations or exports.

Does Docket ERP track SRN, SIRN and department-store material?

Yes. SRN and SIRN records are linked to the relevant docket, so material issued from the department store, returns and pending balances are tracked without a separate manual register.

Can it manage RA bills, final bills and pending payments?

Yes. RA bills and final bills are kept with the work, its measurements and its supporting records, each with a status: draft, submitted, pending or paid. Submitted and outstanding amounts are visible without checking several registers.

How does the AI-assisted PDF intake work?

You upload a supported PDF, such as a Work Order, LOI, purchase order or measurement sheet. Docket ERP extracts the relevant fields and prepares them for the correct record. A person always reviews and confirms the entry before it is posted, and manual entry remains available.

Is Docket ERP accounting software?

Docket ERP is primarily an operations and billing ERP for electrical contractors. It manages job-wise records, expenses, materials, and bill and payment status. Statutory accounting functionality depends on the modules enabled in your subscription.

How much does Docket ERP cost?

The launch price is ₹5,000 per month or ₹50,000 per year, excluding GST. The regular price is ₹10,000 per month. It is one plan with unlimited dockets, bills and users, and it includes AI-assisted PDF intake, Indian cloud hosting, onboarding and support. Current pricing is published on docketerp.com.

Where is our data stored?

On servers in Indian data centres, encrypted in transit and at rest, with automatic daily backups. Docket ERP is a cloud product, so nothing is installed on each computer. Only the users you authorise can log in, and you decide what each role can see.

How do we get started with Docket ERP?

Book a demo and bring one of your current works. We show how that work is recorded in Docket ERP, from order to bill. Most offices start with their active works, and existing Excel data is reviewed during onboarding to decide what can be imported.
