Chapter one

The boy from Dayalpur

Every company has an origin story. Techimpace's begins in Dayalpur — a small village in Galsi, Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal — in an ordinary family where nobody talked about software, startups, or Silicon Valley.

Paritosh Bag studied in a Bengali-medium school, like millions of village children across India. There were no coding classes, no computer labs worth the name, no roadmap. What there was, in abundance, was curiosity — the kind that takes things apart to see how they work and asks one question relentlessly: what else is possible?

Chapter two

An English classroom, a different calling

Higher studies brought him to Burdwan city, and to a degree nobody would predict for a future software CEO: English Honours. But in early 2009, while classmates annotated literature, Paritosh discovered something that read better than any novel — code.

Technology pulled at him the way stories pull at a reader. He followed the pull: alongside his graduation, he joined NIIT, worked through programming language after programming language, and completed his software engineering training. The English graduate had quietly become an engineer.

Chapter three

From first dollar to first company

In 2010 the learning turned into earning: freelance projects for clients he'd never met, and a first $1,000 that proved a point no certificate could — people will pay a villager from Galsi for world-class work, if the work is world-class.

By 2013 he had shipped Academica ERP for St. Francis de Sales School and registered Techimpace in Bardhaman. The rest — 300+ clients, 20+ ERPs, 6+ countries, and a Private Limited company — is the story told on our About page. This page is about the engine behind it.

Chapter four

Rooms full of builders

Ask Paritosh where he refuels and he won't say a beach. He'll name conference halls: Google Developer Group meetups, developer conferences, Oracle events, and — every single year — Zoholics, where Zoho's story keeps proving his favourite thesis: you can build a multinational company from a village.

The road has gone far beyond India. At CloudFest in Germany he met James Gosling, the creator of Java — a conversation he describes as pure fuel. Talking to the people who build, hearing their visions firsthand, walking rooms full of engineers and founders: that is his idea of rest.

It's also how he hires. Paritosh still personally interviews people for his companies — because a team that builds for 6+ countries starts with conversations, not CVs.

Chapter five

A CEO at ground level

Plenty of CEOs read dashboards. Paritosh reads faces. He still travels to meet the people who actually use Techimpace software — school clerks at fee counters, shop owners at billing desks, administrators buried in registers — and listens to their feedback in their own words, in their own workplaces.

Those ground-level conversations flow straight back into the products. It is the least glamorous part of the job and, he'll tell you, the most important: software gets better when its maker stands where its user stands.

Chapter six

Off the clock

Away from the company, Paritosh is a traveller with a weakness for heritage and culture — old towns, temple architecture, living history. He hunts local savoury food wherever he lands (strictly vegetarian, endlessly curious), enjoys shopping streets as much as trade-show floors, and somehow turns every trip into networking, because the people who build things are everywhere.

Ask Paritosh what success feels like and he won't point at a dashboard. He'll tell you about a child who got school books she couldn't afford, a family that found help when nobody else was looking, a small moment where someone felt seen. He grew up in a village where kindness travelled faster than money — and he never unlearned it.
